Not sure what a Food Assembly is? Think of any farmers' market full of local fresh produce direct from the producer. We are similar; you have access to fresh local produce, except you order online. Our producers set up the "market" at Maitlandfield House Hotel (on Monday nights 6pm - 7pm) and you collect your order from each producer. All done in just a few minutes. No money needed as already paid!
Community is at the heart of The Food Assembly. It's free to join and there's no obligation to order
The market is open from Tuesday afternoon until midnight Saturday. Once you have ordered our farmers & producers get to work harvesting, baking & cooking your items and set up at the venue on Monday ready for you to collect.
Every week you'll find great products direct from brilliant local farmers, growers and producers, which you can buy at the click of a mouse; organic vegetables, bread, milk, cream, cheese, meat, eggs, pasties, pies, cakes, honey, jam, healthy ready to eat meals, sauces, condiments, and much more.
Follow Haddington Food Assembly on Twitter (@buzzaboutfood) and Facebook ( facebook.com/haddin..) and 'like', share, re-tweet and publicise the scheme any way you can.
There is no fee to pay and no commitment to buy. Buy as much or as little as you wish, but do buy something at least, to test the system.
Thank you so much for your support

Why join The Food Assembly?
Eat the most delicious and freshest food in your area. Locally sourced and more transparent, the average distance of food travelled is only 28 miles!
No commitment to buy and joining is free. Sharing recipes and cooking tips with your neighbours is just an extra bonus.
Our food producers are passionate about growing and making your food, that's why we pay them over 80% for their work, in comparison to 20-50% from supermarkets.
We are about real people and real food: when you pick up your order, you get to connect with your community and food in a healthier way.
